RONALD L. LOTT, DVM
Dr. Lott, a native of East Texas, attended Texas A&M University where he received two Bachelor of Science degrees—one in animal science and one in veterinary science. He also attended veterinary school at Texas A&M and graduated with honors from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Upon graduation, he began mixed animal practice at Ward Animal Hospital in Nacogdoches. He later moved to Southwood Drive Animal Clinic in Lufkin, Texas where he also practiced veterinary medicine on numerous species. In 2000, he took a position at Pearland Animal Hospital in Pearland, Texas where he focused exclusively on small animal medicine and surgery. He also worked as a relief veterinarian at multiple Pet’s Choice 24-hour emergency hospitals in the Houston area. In July of 2002, he and his wife, Stephanie, purchased Appleby Sand Road Animal Clinic and moved their family back to Nacogdoches.
Dr. Lott uses a practical, analytical approach to medicine to diagnose his patients and makes every effort to effectively communicate with his clients about their pet’s health.
JORDANA WHEELER, DVM
Dr. Wheeler was born and raised in Palm Springs, California. She attended undergraduate school at Fresno State where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science. After graduating in 2016 she attended veterinary school at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She finished her clinical year at Texas A&M in December of 2020. After graduating veterinary school she moved to Nacogdoches where she worked for Angelina Animal Hospital for a little over a year.
Dr. Wheeler has two dogs named Maddie and Penny. She likes to spend most of her free time either outdoors or reading. If she had the choice, she would probably spend every weekend afternoon in a hammock reading a book.
KELLY KOINM, DVM
Dr. Kelly Koinm is a dedicated veterinarian with a passion for providing exceptional care to animals. Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, she began her journey in the medical field by serving eight years of active duty in the U.S. Army as a medical laboratory technician. During her service, Dr. Koinm earned an associate degree in medical laboratory technology from George Washington University in 2007.
Driven by her love for animals and people, Dr. Koinm pursued her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke in 2010. Her commitment to veterinary medicine led her to North Carolina State University, where she obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2014.
Following graduation, Dr. Koinm returned to active duty as a Veterinary Corps Officer, providing care to the military working dogs at Minot and Grand Forks Air Force Bases in North Dakota. In September 2018, she relocated to Nacogdoches, Texas, where she purchased Connolly Animal Clinic, furthering her dedication to serving the local community.
Continuing her pursuit of knowledge, Dr. Koinm completed a master’s degree in clinical Toxicology from the University of Florida. Her areas of expertise and special interests encompass emergency medicine, toxicology, and soft tissue surgery, allowing her to address a wide range of complex veterinary cases.
In her personal life, Dr. Koinm finds joy in spending time with her husband Brandon and their two children, Mia and Alexander. Their household is also shared with two Bengal cats named Sterling and Darwin. When she’s not caring for animals, Dr. Koinm enjoys staying active through exercise, playing softball, and cherishing quality moments with her family.
With her unwavering dedication and extensive experience, Dr. Kelly Koinm strives to provide compassionate and comprehensive veterinary care to every patient she encounters.
